Communications Committee Meeting Held

CommComm had a good meeting tonight. Chair Robin Snyder reviewed web-site needs. The following are the actions as I understand them. Feel free to correct me.
1. Mark will contact Dutch McDonald and update him regards web-site progress and needs. (Done)

2. Lewis will talk to FDA to see if it's possible to use the www.friendship-pgh.org url, and how we can use the site for the interests of both organizations.

Remember to hit the "powered by blogger" button on the left side to sign in and make a post.

Thanks to Rich for posting about the Rite-Aid press conference. The following F4 (Friendship, Flower and Folk Festival) committee news comes from F4 Chair Kasia Sudol.

Our next meeting is 7PM Monday, April 14th. Julie and Matt
Grove are graciously hosting the event...370 Roup. We are about a month
away from the BIG DAY, so please attend so that we are sure of everyone's
duties and roles on the day of the festival. We will have an agenda to
strictly follow.....See you there, Kasia.

Also, the electronic newsletter info and classifieds links are out of date. If anyone wants to send new stuff to me, I'll post it.

Communications Committee Meeting
Robin has invited us to meet at her house, 7 p.m., Sunday, April 13. Lewis said that Quiet Storm is wireless capable, which is awfully cool. The Quiet Storm has entertainment starting at 8 p.m., so that would force us to finish business by then. However, if Robin wants to have a whole bunch of FPG-ers traipsing in her house and breaking her crockery, that's just fine with me.

BTW, kudos to Jill for the Quiet Storm site. I just checked it out and it had a pop up window with a description of tonight's unblurred event. It's probably the best use of a pop up window that I've every seen.

News on Penn Avenue and Penn Avenue in the News
KDKA-TV news may have a feature tonight on Penn Ave. artist Daniel Sandler. According to Jeffrey Dorsey it might be airing (depending on war news needs) toward the end of the six o' clock hour. Check here for other Penn Avenue news.

Oh, and I'll update folks soon on our meeting with Jill MacDowell. One major point is that she said it would be helpful if we knew what the logo was. So if there's any progress on the logo, let us know.
